REC

REC program aims at introspection on music
from a conceptual perspective. Taking the musical phenomenon as
a whole, it insists on aspects that generated patterns of thinking,
on aspects that influenced the art in general or were influenced
by artistic movements. The field of interest for this program
has its boarders at the beginning of recordings as a medium of
stocking and reproducing sounds and it goes along with the evolution
and splitting of this medium.
The first chapter of this program is a
view through the Electrecord recordings, a studio and a label
with a certain monopoly in Romania, starting from between wars
period until 1989. This chapter is intended to be extended to
the whole east- European context.
The second chapter is a series of experimental
concerts, analyses on authors that influenced the musical-artistic
thinking, sound art and sound installations.
